'Lord That I Might See'

  • Kintbury; St Cassian's Centre Berkshire, RG17 9SR United Kingdom (map)

During this week we will be inviting each other to go on a dig to unearth and share treasures of scripture, stories, perennial wisdom, film, music, art and life experiences which have impacted, transformed, affected or even just slightly shifted the lens so as to influence and modify how we see.

The many parables and stories from Scripture call us to a more compassionate vision and from whatever point we are travelling along our life and faith journey, we are called to become more willing and able to see as Jesus sees. We can explore how His way of seeing brings both challenges and opportunities to how we respond, act, live and make decisions.

The Scriptures remind us that Jesus reached out to those who many chose not to see and we can consider how transforming relationships enhance the quality of life when we experience being ‘seen.’  Whilst exploring the theme through a variety of approaches, activities and conversations we will build a relaxing community experience for all ages and celebrate a joyful time together. There will be an exciting programme of activities for the young people and a fully resourced creche with a wonderful array of fun things to do, led by an inspiring team of helpers.

There will be a maximum of 80 spaces for this week.

-  20% less than the actual cost (i.e. an automatic discount)

The intent is to allow you to choose how much you can afford to pay.

Important: you are also welcome to make a confidential request for a bursary to the Treasurer treasurercpw@gmail.com or offer to contribute any amount to the bursary fund [please indicate on your booking form].

*as quoted for each event. This varies by event depending on the venue costs and size of the team needed and is different for adults and children on all age weeks.

Bursaries for carers: If an existing CPW member over the age of 18 has additional needs and would require a carer in order to attend an event, then the carer will be eligible for a free place.

Care information
CPW does not take responsibility for assessing care needs, or for sourcing appropriate care. Helpers are responsible only for under 18s during adult sessions, and do not have care responsibilities towards other members on the week, or indeed, for children outside the session times.
