In 2023, Pope Francis and the rest of the bishops will be meeting in Rome to discuss synodality, and the whole church is invited to contribute ideas.
This invitation extends to groups and organisations such as CPW - not just parishes and dioceses. To help CPW's our own journey of listening and discernment, we will hold a half day online 'Zoom' meeting on Saturday 19 February to which all members are invited. The meeting will start at 2pm chaired by Mike Monaghan and is expected to last about two hours. It is envisioned as a follow up to the online conference addressed by Greg Ryan last August.
We will look at how CPW is meeting the challenge of being synodal . This will include an update from the trustees on progress with establishing the future leadership structure, and discussion of some key questions and ideas which we would like the Bishops to consider at the General Synod .
After the conclusion of the 'synodal' meeting, there will be a short general meeting (30 minutes) under the terms of the CPW constitution to ratify the proposed interim leadership proposal.
