AMOS: A Prophet For Today?

Register in advance for this meeting here

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

Old Testament prophets not only warned of God’s anger at institutional corruption on the part of religious and secular powers. Amos is especially known as the prophet of social justice.

Today we shall consider what lessons might be learned from the life and work of this shepherd sent by God from Judah. He warned of the coming punishment and end of the kingdom of Israel because of the unjust treatment of the poor people of his time.

While this aspect of prophecy comes from a request by some who came to our weekend in March, it stands by itself as an event. We welcome all CPW to join us on Saturday 4 December 2021.

We shall meet during the afternoon and evening and have an opportunity to relax with ‘cheese and wine’ at the end of the day.
