A People’s Theology for the 21st Century
With the help of our Keynote speaker, Diarmuid O’Murchu, we will be considering the human story, our place in the whole of Creation and the Christ event within it. Diarmuid is a Catholic Priest, as well as a well-known author and retreat leader. His most recent books include Beyond Original Sin, Incarnation: A New Evolutionary Threshold, Inclusivity: A Gospel Mandate and Christianity’s Dangerous Memory: A Rediscovery of the Revolutionary Jesus.
Diarmuid’s concerns regarding climate change have been an important influence on his writing, as have the work of Teilhard de Chardin and contemporary theologians.
We hope that, in dialogue with Diarmuid, as well as from our own reflections and liturgies, the implications for the implementation of an adult faith in connection to today’s most pressing issues, will emerge.
