Spring Weekend: Prophets – Opening Unseeing Eyes & Unhearing Ears [ONLINE EVENT]

Exploring Prophecy - Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow

“Everyone has a prophetic task, the potential to burn with the same fire [of Pentecost] and light up every corner of the earth.” (Judith Lang, They Looked at God, New City, London, 2005).

What does it mean to have a prophetic task, and who were, and are, our prophets? Ezekiel...Christ...Romero...who now? What effect might it have if we really listen to the prophets’ messages of the past? If we in turn are to be prophets to others, what is our message and do we have to suffer as all the prophets suffered?

We hope this online event will give us the opportunity to open our unseeing eyes and unhearing ears to our own prophetic tasks. In this virtual weekend together we will explore these questions to set us thinking and praying throughout CPW’s year on prophecy. Bring your own ideas to help our exploration.
