Not for the first time in its history, the Catholic Church stands at a crossroads. Declining attendance in the West, especially amongst young people, division, abuse of authority and power, and its moral authority at an all-time low. These are complex and challenging times and the issues need to be faced by all of us with honesty, openness, and transparency. A robust and courageous response is needed from the whole church if genuine transformation and renewal is to be achieved.
On Day 1, we will hear from the ‘Divine Renovation’ Team UK, proposing that the Church has lost sight of the original mission given by Christ and urgently needs to recall its true identity; also from a parish priest currently implementing the DR programme. Day 2 will give the opportunity to experience a range of different and contrasting visions of the Catholic Church of the future. Come prepared to engage with the issues.
