Sacred Music
An 18+ event chaired by Carola Geist-Divver with Breideen Murtagh as organiser. Noddfa, Monday 12th – Friday 16th May.
We will explore the richness of different Mass settings and what they can add to our liturgies through pieces ranging from The Armed Man by Karl Jenkins and Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem to a traditional Gregorian Mass and an African Mass, as well as enjoying some other types of sacred music.

80th Anniversary weekend – and day.
Boars Hill, Friday 25th – Sunday 27th July. Guest speaker, John Bell of the Iona Community. We will have a day of celebrations on the Saturday (26th) and we’ve booked the priory for the weekend so those who wish can spend longer together catching up and reminiscing. All ages welcome, but it has yet to be decided whether there will be a programme for children and young people.

Signs of a worsening climate crisis are all around us but where is our creator God in all of this? And what should our response as Christians be?
We’re trying out a new centre, Whithaugh Park in the Scottish Borders, Saturday 9th – Saturday 16th August. This will be on an environmental theme - more details on that shortly.

Walking Event, 18+.

Northumbria is the cradle of English Christianity. In this Jubilee Year with its theme of Pilgrims of Hope, we will walk in the footsteps of the Northern Saints and explore the richness which walking in beautiful surroundings can bring to our spiritual lives. The programme includes a day when we will walk across the sands to Lindisfarne. On two consecutive evenings we will have speakers from the Centre for Catholic Studies at Durham University, Greg Ryan and Karen Kilby.

Autumn All-Age Long weekend.
The Stories that Shape Us. Chair Louise Cook, Thurs 30th Oct – Sun 2nd Nov. Alton Castle. For the purposes of booking I (Brid Fitzpatrick) am the organiser.
We will explore why the stories we hear and tell are so important to our faith and our lives. If something is a myth how can it also be true?
