A fair field full of folk I found there between
Of all manner of people, the poor and the rich,
Working and wandering, as the world demanded.
William Langland, The Vision of Piers Ploughman
Following two recent very successful cycling pilgrimages, we are offering a short cycling week through the Cotswolds. We shall take as our starting point the Malvern Hills and Piers Ploughman’s strange vision of the modern world as he gazed across the plain below.
As we travel together and encounter others on the way, we will consider the way the world works, how we live with our fellow humans, and our place within the landscape God has created for us.
Mutual support, good companionship and lots of fresh air alongside daily prayer and visits to places of interest on our route will leave us invigorated, and, we hope, inspired.
Our cycling will be leisurely, but you will be expected to be a competent on-road cyclist as well as able to cope with some rougher off-road moments. There will be a support vehicle to carry overnight bags. Younger cyclists are very welcome with a 1:1 adult ratio.
Chairs: Mari Girling & Anne Dixon
Organiser: Malcolm Dixon
Age 2-17: TBC (must be able to ride a bike or be seated in a child seat)
Deposit: £100 for adult and £25 for 2-17
